- Band 3 salary range of $70,920.22 and $75,610.73 plus 12% super, annual leave loading, and allowances
n
- Permanent full-time position
n
- Located at 290 Yan Yean Road, Plenty, VIC 3090
n
- Access to fortnightly RDOs
n
- Flexible working arrangements available - balance life and work
n
- 16 weeks (pro rata) parental leave and generous personal and carers leave entitlements.

About the role
n
As Roads and Drains Maintenance Officer Unsealed, you'll play a key role in delivering quality unsealed road and drainage maintenance services across the Shire. Working outdoors and as part of a supportive team, you'll operate plant and equipment, manage traffic control, and undertake general labouring to keep our local road and drainage networks safe and well maintained. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in practical work, enjoys variety, and is committed to delivering reliable services to the community.

What a typical day will look like;
n
n
- Manage customer expectations and concerns in a timely manner.
n
- Work cooperatively with the Unsealed Road and Drain Maintenance Team and other crews within Infrastructure by providing assistance to ensure works are undertaken in a planned and coordinated manner.
n
- Operate plant and equipment to maintain the Shire civil infrastructure network in a safe efficient manner with regard to Shire work practises and regulations.
n
- Works inclusive of but not limited to, driving a range of trucks, spotting and working alongside machinery, working with hand tools and partaking in traffic management set ups.
n
- Carry out team allocated tasks in all weather conditions.
n
- Use of electronic devices as required.
n

What you will bring to the role;
n
n
- Trade certificate or equivalent, completion of TAFE accredited/industry-based training course and/or demonstrated previous experience in municipal roadside, road and drainage maintenance and traffic management.
n
- Current Victorian driver licence with heavy rigid endorsement.
n
- Competency in the operation of plant and equipment relevant to roadside and maintenance activities (Backhoe, bobcat, excavator)
n
