National Retail Construction Manager (FMCG) - Drive Thru / Fuel

Are you ready to lead and deliver transformative projects for a fast-growing international food retail brand? Our client, a global leader in small-format retail, is expanding in Australia and is seeking an experienced National Construction Manager to lead the rollout of their recent drive-thru formats.

About the Role
n
With a strong presence, this brand is embarking on a major growth phase in Australia. While the portfolio will include leasehold sites such as shopping centres and airports, the primary focus is drive-thru developments, making expertise in this area essential, either working for another QSR (Fast-Food Group) or perhaps similar experience with fuel, or small format retail on freestanding sites.

As the National Construction Manager, you'll lead strategy, concept design, and delivery of new store builds, bringing innovation and commercial rigour to every stage of the process.

Key Responsibilities:
n
- Develop new systems, concepts, and delivery strategies for national store expansion.
n
- Apply deep experience in drive-thru design and construction to ensure best practice across all builds.
n
- Oversee the installation and replacement of commercial cooking equipment, cabinetry, and retail displays.
n
- Manage tenders, procurement,
and governance frameworks to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
n
- Lead and support a team of state-based Project Managers across all phases of construction.
n
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
n
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec.
n

- Proven expertise in delivering retail construction projects, with a strong focus on drive-thru environments.
n
- Experience leading multi-site rollouts and large-scale upgrade programs.
n
- Skilled in managing procurement, tender processes, and governance protocols.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership capabilities.
n
- A strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen.
n
- Willingness to travel interstate as required.
n
- Relevant qualifications in construction, design, or architecture are highly regarded.
