About the Role

n

We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to join our Sydney based Construction team of 4 to 5 technicians. The ideal candidate is a self motivated, reliable team player. Our projects range from major sporting complexes to commercial high rise developments. This is a growing business with constant new opportunities and genuine career growth on offer for the right person. This role includes a company vehicle, fuel card, toll tag and company phone, with an hourly rate of $40 to $48 depending on experience. Candidates with a background in Plumbing, Irrigation, Landscaping or Greenkeeping would be well suited to this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Install new irrigation systems
n
- Install drainage and water harvesting systems across large complexes
n
- Maintain irrigation systems and carry out general system upkeep
n
- Diagnose and repair issues within irrigation systems
n




- Program and adjust irrigation controllers to maintain proper watering schedules
n
- Plan and design pipe and sprinkler layouts for even, efficient water distribution
n
- Conduct backflow testing and prevention to protect water supply integrity
n
- Implement water saving technologies and techniques to promote conservation
n
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide solutions and educate them on system operation
n
- Maintain tools and equipment used for irrigation work
n
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
n
- Knowledge of different types of irrigation systems
n
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on quality workmanship
n
- Someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment and is ready for a current challenge
n
- Full working rights required
n
- Previous experience maintaining sports fields or golf course irrigation systems
n
- Qualification in Turf Management or Horticulture
n
