Are you an experienced Diesel Fitter looking for a long-term prospect with a well-established, family-owned business?

Our client has been delivering bulk earthworks and industrial site development projects across South East Queensland for more than 50 years. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join their Ipswich-based workshop team.

n

Working within a close-knit team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable, and ready for site.

n

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on mechanical role where you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform preventative maintenance on a range of heavy mobile plant, including:

n

- Dozers
n
- Graders
n
- Excavators
n
- Moxy Trucks
n

n

You'll also utilise machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines, to complete repairs when required.

n

What You'll Bring

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Trade Qualified (Certificate III or equivalent)
n
- Solid experience maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment
n
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines,



hydraulics and mechanical systems
n
- Experience working on CAT mobile plant, including D6, D7, D8, 730, 740, 615 and 623 models (desirable)
n
- Experience operating machining equipment such as lathes and milling machines
n
- Your own tools
n
- HR Truck Licence (desirable)
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
n
