Job Description
Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted part of the Hills District community for over 50 years. Located in Sydney's northwest, we are a well-established companion animal practice with a diverse and interesting caseload including dogs, cats, small exotics, birds and wildlife.

This is a casual opportunity with shifts from Thursday – Sunday each week. You'll be joining a highly team-oriented, supportive team of 6 veterinarians and 10 dedicated support team, led by Dr Peta Macarthur (Lead Veterinarian) and Lyn Shephard (Practice Manager), a leadership team committed to wellbeing, development and positive culture. This role offers the opportunity to build a rewarding, long-term nursing career in a friendly, professional environment with loyal and appreciative clients.

The Role
n
Required shifts:
n
n
- Thursdays and Fridays – 11am-7pm
n
- Saturdays and Sundays – 8am-5pm
n
n
You'll be hands-on across the full scope of veterinary nursing, including:
n
n
- High-level nursing and surgical support
n
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
n
- Anaesthetic and surgical monitoring
n
- Dentistry and advanced medical procedures
n
- Reception and general clinic duties as required
n
- IDEXX lab, running bloods in-house
n
n
Due to our strong surgical and medical caseload,
experience with advanced nursing skills is essential.
n
About You
n
n
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is preferred, not essential (or equivalent, recognised in Australia)
n
- Proven experience working as a Veterinary Nurse
n
- Confident working independently and within a team
n
- Passion for learning, growth and delivering exceptional patient care
n
- Strong organisational and communication skills
n
n
