We are an established Australian food retailer, hospitality group and wholesaler with a portfolio of premium brands operating across retail stores, restaurants, ecommerce, food production and wholesale markets.
n
We are looking for a creative, commercially minded Social Media Specialist to execute engaging content across our brand portfolio and turn real business activity into compelling social storytelling.
n
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being where the action is, capturing products, people, craftsmanship, venues, launches and behind-the-scenes moments as they happen.
n
Working from our Mascot office and business locations is a non-negotiable requirement of this position. There is no work-from-home arrangement available.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, you will manage the day-to-day execution of social media content across multiple premium food, retail and hospitality brands.
n
You will work closely with the Marketing Executive, designers, operational teams and business leaders to deliver content that supports campaigns, launches, customer engagement and commercial priorities.
n
This role combines content planning, photography, videography, copywriting, community management, trend analysis and performance reporting.
n
You will need to be comfortable moving between office, retail, restaurant, ecommerce and production environments to capture authentic and timely content.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Social Media Execution
n
n
- Plan, schedule and publish content across multiple brand social media accounts
n
- Deliver campaign content in line with marketing briefs, launches and commercial priorities
n
- Maintain accurate content calendars and consistent posting schedules
n
- Write engaging captions aligned with each brand's tone of voice
n
- Ensure content consistently meets premium brand and presentation standards
n
n
Content Creation and Production
n
n
- Capture high-quality photography and video content using mobile devices and other available equipment
n
- Create in-store, behind-the-scenes, product, food, craft and team-focused content
n
- Coordinate simple content shoots and support larger creative productions
n
- Collaborate with designers and other marketing team members
n
- Edit and adapt content for different platforms, audiences and formats
n
- Tailor storytelling across retail, hospitality, ecommerce, production and wholesale environments
n
n
Social Media Strategy and Trends
n
n
- Monitor emerging social media trends, platform updates and competitor activity
n
- Recommend new content ideas,
formats and campaign opportunities
n
- Identify ways to improve reach, engagement and audience growth
n
- Test new creative approaches, storytelling styles and platform features
n
- Translate social trends into relevant, commercially appropriate content
n
n
Community Management
n
n
- Monitor comments, direct messages and customer engagement across platforms
n
- Respond to customer interactions promptly and in line with brand standards
n
- Escalate complaints, service issues and reputational risks through the appropriate channels
n
- Help build active and engaged online communities around each brand
n
n
Performance and Reporting
n
n
- Track engagement, reach, audience growth and content performance
n
- Prepare monthly social media performance insights
n
- Deliver post-campaign reporting with key results and learnings
n
- Identify content opportunities based on performance data
n
- Use insights to improve future content planning and execution
n
n
Broader Marketing Support
n
n
- Support campaign rollouts, events, activations and product launches
n
- Assist with email marketing content and other marketing activities where required
n
- Provide social media coverage at relevant business events and locations
n
- Act as a adaptable, hands-on marketing resource across the broader team
n
n
What Success Looks Like
n
Success in this role will be measured against clear performance expectations, including:
n
n
- At least 95% adherence to agreed content calendars and campaign deadlines
n
- Year-on-year social media engagement growth of approximately 15% to 20%
n
- Consistent delivery of content aligned with brand tone, audience and campaign objectives
n
- Minimal revisions required before content approval
n
- Monthly and post-campaign reporting delivered accurately and on time
n
- One to two relevant new content ideas implemented each month
n
- Responses to social media comments and messages within 24 hours during business days
n
n
About You
n
You are organised, creative and commercially aware. You understand that effective social media is not simply about producing attractive content, it must support customer engagement, brand positioning and business outcomes.
n
You are comfortable working independently, managing competing deadlines and taking ownership of execution.
n
You will also be willing to spend time across our offices and operational locations to capture the people, products and experiences that make our brands distinctive.
n
Essential Experience and Skills
n
n
- At least two years of experience managing brand social media accounts
n
- Strong copywriting and written communication skills
n
- Demonstrated understanding of brand management and tone of voice
n
- Strong visual judgement and an appreciation for premium presentation
n
- Experience creating photography and video content for social media
n
- Confidence capturing content using mobile devices
n
- Ability to coordinate and direct simple content shoots
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- Exceptional attention to detail
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
n
- A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
n
- A data-driven mindset and understanding of social media performance metrics

Important Work Location Requirement
