Mesh and Bar Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Gantry Crane Operator / Loader to join our Day Shift production team at our Pakenham branch.

n

We manufacture and supply steel reinforcement products to the construction industry and are currently experiencing significant growth.

n

This is a hands-on factory role responsible for loading trucks, moving and stacking finished steel products, organising loads and supporting the flow of production throughout the factory.

n

About the Role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Operating overhead gantry cranes.
n
- Loading trucks safely and efficiently.
n
- Moving, stacking and organising finished steel products.
n
- Checking loads against paperwork and production requirements.
n
- Working closely with production operators and the dispatch team.
n
- Maintaining an organised and efficient loading area.
n
- Identifying and reporting quality or safety issues.
n
- Supporting general factory operations when required.
n
- Following workplace safety procedures and company expectations.
n

Previous experience operating overhead cranes, loading trucks, handling steel products, working in manufacturing or reinforcement steel would be highly regarded.

Employment Conditions

n

The successful applicant will be employed on a casual basis, with full-time (38) hours provided.

n

Day Shift Casual Rate: $38.53 per hour

n

Overtime rates apply in accordance with applicable employment conditions.

n
