Job Description

Independent Milestones is seeking a passionate and motivated Paediatric Occupational Therapist with experience in the community-based National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) space to join our growing team across the Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong.

This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who values relationship-based practice, strengths-focused support, and achieving meaningful outcomes for children and their families.

n

In this role, you will deliver community-based paediatric occupational therapy services, supporting children and young people to build functional skills, support participation, and develop confidence and independence across home, school, early learning, and community environments.

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver paediatric OT assessments and intervention in community settings (home, school, childcare, and community environments)
n
- Support children with developmental delays, disabilities, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, self-care, play, and participation
n
- Collaborate closely with families, educators,



and other allied health professionals
n
- Complete high-quality documentation, reports, and NDIS-related recommendations
n
- Contribute to goal setting and therapy planning that is strengths-based and family-centred
n

About you

n

n
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy preferred; applicants with related Bachelor qualifications (e.g. Psychology, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy) are also encouraged to apply as other roles are available
n
- Experience in Paediatric Occupational Therapy
n
- NDIS experience
n
- Robust communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Ability to work independently in the community
n
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Medicare provider number (or willing to obtain)
n
- Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
n
