Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day: The position supports the FACTS and Storage business by leading the preparation of complex, high-value bids for grid technology solutions across Australia and the APAC region.

The role focuses on three core areas:

- Leading the end‐to‐end bid management lifecycle.
n
- Developing technically and commercially robust proposals.
n
- Managing stakeholder engagement and internal governance.
n

How You'll Make An Impact
n
n
- 40% Technical & Commercial Proposal Developmentn n
- Analyze complex RFQs to interpret technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
n
- Coordinate and consolidate technical and commercial inputs from regional and global stakeholders, including engineering, legal, and procurement.
n
- Prepare detailed cost compilations, commercial calculations, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
n
- Compile all technical and commercial bid documentation in the required structure for timely customer submission.
n
- Define, discuss and align work packages for suppliers and local partners.
n
n
- 30% Strategic Bid Management & Leadershipn
n
- Lead end‐to‐end bid and proposal activities for complex grid technology solutions, including FACTS, HVDC, and Grid Stability systems.
n
- Define the bidding strategy, offer structure, and work packages in collaboration with Sales and technical teams to ensure a competitive advantage.
n
- Establish and manage the bid organization, project plans, timelines, and communication procedures for each tender.
n
- Coach, review,
and delegate work to junior tendering professionals to build team capability.
n
n
- 30% Stakeholder Coordination & Governancen
n
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all bid‐related topics with the customer, internal teams, and external partners.
n
- Support the internal offer release process by preparing comprehensive documentation for management briefing and approval.
n
- Conduct bid clarifications and support the Sales team during contract negotiations to secure favorable terms.
n
- Ensure all bid activities comply with internal governance, including export control and business conduct guidelines.
n

What You Bring
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
n
- 8–10+ years of proven experience in bid management, tendering, or a technical proposal role within the energy, utility, or heavy industrial sectors.
n
- Demonstrated experience working with cross‐functional and international teams on large‐scale, complex projects.
n
- Project engineering and/or project management and/or design/commissioning experience and/or qualifications are highly regarded.
n
- Technical Bid Management experience (tender preparation, cost estimation, technical specification analysis).
n
- Full rights to work and live in Australia.
n
- Valid Australian driving licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
