Border Fabrications part of the Jacob Group is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Welder / Metal Fabricator to join their team in Wodonga VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

n

n
- Being able to read and analyze blueprints and drawings.
n
- Have the ability and experience to use a TIG and MIG welder.
n
- Examining welds for the width of bead, penetration, and precision
n
- Can weld vertically, horizontally, and overhead.
n
- Be able to weld various metals using various techniques.
n
- Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, spin, heat, or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies.
n
- Heat treats metal parts and components.
n
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment.
n
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding,



bolting, or riveting.
n
- Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing, or bathing them in acid solutions, or by applying protective or decorative coatings.
n

Skills & Abilities:

n

n
- Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification
n
- Minimum of three years' experience in this role or similar
n
- Ability to work in a team workplace.
n

n

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience. Fulltime Position available

n
