We are seeking an experienced Freight & Logistics Coordinator to join our Aftermarket team and play a critical role in ensuring the seamless movement of spare parts, consumables and service equipment to our customers across Australia and internationally.

About the Role

n

You will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international freight movements, managing shipping documentation, liaising with carriers and suppliers, and ensuring customers receive critical parts and equipment on time.

n

Your work will directly support Gekko's commitment to minimising customer downtime and maintaining strong service delivery standards across our global operations.

n

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate freight bookings across road, rail, sea and air transport.
n
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, suppliers and internal teams.
n
- Manage consumables purchasing and supplier communications.
n




- Prepare and review export, import and shipping documentation.
n
- Ensure compliance with customs requirements, Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
n
- Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to customers and stakeholders.
n
- Manage freight exceptions, delays, damages and claims resolution.
n
- Obtain freight quotations and support carrier negotiations.
n
- Validate freight invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
n
- Maintain accurate logistics records within ERP/TMS systems.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve freight efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service delivery.

About You

n

You are a highly organised logistics professional with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach. You enjoy problem-solving, building relationships and managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

n

To be successful you will have:

n

n
- 5+ years' experience in freight, logistics, transportation, freight forwarding or supply chain operations.
n
- Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
n
- Knowledge of customs processes, freight documentation and import/export requirements.
n
- Proficiency using ERP systems, freight management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Excel.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Sound commercial awareness and freight costing knowledge.
n
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams.
n
- Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
