About the Role
n
This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to the evolution of two flagship programs by strengthening and refining curriculum design and delivery.
n
Working across early childhood and youth-focused programs, you'll partner with Program Directors and Managers to review, develop and implement culturally responsive curriculum and resources that align with national frameworks and community needs.
n
You'll play a key role in shaping practical learning tools and educational content that support improved wellbeing, health outcomes, and educational engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Curriculum Development & Design
n
n
- Review, update and create curriculum resources aligned to program outcomes and national frameworks
n
- Support implementation of the Walking Learning framework into practice
n
- Develop engaging teaching and learning resources for early childhood educators
n
n
Health, Wellbeing & Education Content
n
n
- Design culturally appropriate health, nutrition, and wellbeing resources
n
- Translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging and practical formats
n
- Align content with evidence-based frameworks and program values
n
n
Program Support & Implementation
n
n
- Support curriculum pilot projects, including prevention messaging initiatives
n
- Contribute to evaluation frameworks and educator self-assessment tools
n
- Collaborate closely with program teams and community stakeholders
n
n
Stakeholder Collaboration
n
n
- Work alongside program leaders, coaches, and community staff
n
- Ensure resources are culturally safe, relevant and community-informed
n
- Support cross-program integration of key educational messages
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Primary), Educational Design, or similar
n
- Experience developing or reviewing curriculum aligned to EYLF or Australian Curriculum
n
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and contexts
n
- Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and community-based education approaches
n
- Ability to translate complex concepts into practical, user-friendly resources
n
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
n
- Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively
n
