Job Description
A Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a program of work delivering improvements to core information systems.
n
You will sit between the business and the technology function, working with stakeholders who understand their process but not necessarily what they need from a system. The job is to close that gap — draw out the real requirement, test it against what is deliverable, and document it clearly enough that a solution can be built against it.
n
What you will be doing
n
n
- Working with business stakeholders to articulate high-level needs across information systems and IT processes
n
- Converting those needs into detailed business requirements specifications
n
- Providing advice and recommendations on information systems capabilities and solution options
n
- Identifying solution options that align with departmental and whole-of-Government enterprise architecture guidelines
n
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships across team members, business stakeholders and delivery partners
n
- Working with the team on communication activities so affected stakeholder groups have a clear and accurate understanding of the program and its impact on their work
n
- Applying Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices as part of day-to-day operations
