Purpose of the Role

n

BGIS is seeking an experienced HVAC Team Leader to support building services operations within a large and busy healthcare campus on the Gold Coast.

n

Reporting directly to the Site Facilities leadership team, you will work closely with both BGIS and client stakeholders to coordinate HVAC maintenance activities, support service delivery outcomes, and guide a small team of skilled technicians.

n

This role combines hands‐on technical work with team coordination, mentoring apprentices, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring HVAC services across the site operate safely and efficiently.

n

and helping a team deliver reliable building services in a high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Support daily HVAC maintenance and building services across the site
n
- Guide and mentor technicians and apprentices while supporting a positive team culture
n
- Coordinate quoting, small works, and installation activities
n
- Assist with troubleshooting HVAC plant, equipment, and BMS-related issues
n
- Conduct inspections, toolbox talks, and safety checks
n
- Support reporting, timesheet reviews, and service documentation
n
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and site stakeholders to maintain service delivery standards
n
- Assist with emergency callouts and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
n

Education, Experience & Skills

n

Essential

n

n
- HVAC Trade Qualification
n
- ARCtick / Refrigerant Handling Licence
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
- Experience working in HVAC maintenance or building services environments
n
- Experience guiding or supporting technicians or apprentices
n
- Good communication and organisation skills
n
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and service systems
n

n

Desirable

n

- QBCC licence (where applicable)
n




- Experience using IWMS / CMMS maintenance systems
n
- Experience coordinating quoting, minor works, or installations
n
- Experience working in large facilities or healthcare environments
n

n
