NW Professional is partnering with a respected and growing construction business to recruit an experienced Health, Safety & Compliance Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive safety skilled who enjoys working across both site and office environments, driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across multiple projects.

About the role

n

Reporting to the leadership team, you ll take ownership of health and safety initiatives while supporting project teams to maintain the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Conducting site inspections, audits and safety reporting
n
- Preparing SWMS,



risk assessments and safety documentation
n
- Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
n
- Ensuring compliance with WHS/OHS legislation and company policies
n
- Supporting project teams with safety planning and compliance
n
- Coordinating inductions, training and competency records (including RIWs)
n
- Managing contractor compliance and stakeholder communication
n
- Driving continuous improvement across safety systems and processes
n

About you

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety or OHS role within construction, civil or infrastructure
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS legislation
n
- Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent) is highly regarded
n
