Applications Engineer 12-Month Maternity Leave Contract (Potential to Extend)

BAC Australia is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract, with the potential for extension.

n

Working closely with our Sales and Engineering teams, you will provide technical support, product selection expertise and application solutions that help customers achieve the best outcomes from BAC's industry-leading cooling tower and heat rejection technologies.

n

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your engineering, customer engagement and commercial skills while contributing to projects across a diverse range of industries.

n

What You Will Bring to the BAC Team

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- A degree, diploma or trade qualification in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in technical products and solutions.
n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
n
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
n
- The ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
n
- Experience using Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP, CRM, AutoCAD, Revit or similar software.
n
- A customer-focused mindset and a desire to deliver practical solutions.
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare product selections and technical recommendations.
n
- Support quotations, proposals and project submissions.
n
- Provide technical and application support to customers and internal teams.
n
- Assist with new business opportunities and customer enquiries.
n
- Develop technical documentation,



presentations and sales tools.
n
- Support product launches, technical training and industry events.
n
- Analyse product, customer and market data to support decision-making.
n
- Work collaboratively across Sales, Engineering and Production teams.
n

n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- 1-2 years' experience in an engineering, technical sales or related role.
n
- Experience working directly with customers.
n
- Exposure to HVAC, mechanical services, industrial equipment or similar industries.
n
- Experience preparing quotations, proposals or technical documentation.
n
- Familiarity with technical sales support and product application activities.
n
