About the Role

Whittaker Contracting is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in full‐time positions supporting our Orange Based Workshop and at our local Cadia Mine.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of heavy mining and earthmoving equipment
n
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic and electrical systems
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on work completed
n
- Provide a high level of service to our mining and construction clients
n
- Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
n

About You

n

n
- Trade qualified Diesel Fitter or Automotive Mechanic
n
- Strong mechanical and technical skills with a proactive problem‐solving approach
n
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‐focused attitude
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n




- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various mine sites
n
