Acostar Logistics is a privately owned Transport & Warehousing business based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. We focus on end to end supply chain to provide our clients with value added services to there business.

Currently Acostar have an prospect as a Safety & Compliance Officer to ensure our operations comply with Victorian transport legislation and internal policies.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

Maintaining existing safety policies and procedures tailored to our workplace and industry.

n

Have demonstrated employment history of maintaining NHVR, Mass Management accreditations.

n

Exposure or experience with PBS standards, OBM telematics.

n

Trained and or accredited with HACCP food safety principles.

n

Trained and or accredited with DAFF 1.3 license, Border force Bonded 77G, 79G licenses

n

Educating employees through Inductions & VOC's on safety procedures, hazard awareness, and the proper use of mobile equipment.

n

Regularly inspecting workplaces, equipment, and processes to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.

n

Thoroughly examining accidents and near misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.

n





Support both internal and subcontractor drivers to ensure they understand their responsibilities with regards to transport specific compliance.

n

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and legal compliance

n

Keeping accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and relevant documentation.

n

Skills & Experience:

n

Understanding of OH&S; regulations and other relevant safety standards

n

Understanding with ISO quality assurance programs

n

Ability to analyses incidents, identify key root causes, and implement corrective actions.

n

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain organised record keeping.

n

Previous experience in the transport/Warehousing industry (required).

n

High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

n

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

n

Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with a teams.

n

Confident working independently and collaboratively across departments.

n
