What you will be doing in this role

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join our Navigator team in a part-time position (2 days per week), supporting patients diagnosed with Prostate cancer and survivorship journey. This role involves assisting patients after surgery, supporting recovery and rehabilitation, coordinating patient-centred care, offering educational resources, and providing psychosocial support to patients, their families, and caregivers. You will serve as a consistent point of contact, helping patients navigate the healthcare system and connecting them with SAH services and external providers as needed.

You will work alongside the Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse (PCSN)



from the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA), who provides expertise across all aspects of prostate cancer therapy and treatment pathways. Together, you will deliver coordinated, evidence-based care and optimise patient outcomes across all stages of treatment.

Working closely within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care throughout the patient journey. Additionally, you will act as a valuable resource for students and fellow healthcare professionals.

This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Oncology Nurse to make a meaningful impact in a specialised and supportive environment.

Who we’re looking for

- Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in the care and management of patients with Prostate Cancer, with a focus on surgical care.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in Prostate cancer or oncology.
- Proven experience presenting and providingpatienteducation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collaborative andpatient-centred care.
- You'll possess well-developed analytical,



data collection and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based clinical decision-making, service evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
- Competency in using relevant clinical and administrative IT systems, and annual mandatory training requirements.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with postgraduate qualifications in oncology or a related specialty highly regarded.
