Are you an experienced Scrub Scout looking to join a close-knit team where you'll be valued, supported and given the opportunity to broaden your skillset?

We're partnering with a well-established specialist private day hospital in Canberra that is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Perioperative Nurse to join the team on a 0.6–0.8 FTE permanent basis (approximately 32 hours per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for a Scrub Scout who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is interested in developing skills within ophthalmology. Previous ophthalmic theatre experience is highly regarded but not essential—a structured training program is available for the right candidate.

- Shifts between 7:00am – 6:00pm

- Regular Fridays off with a compressed working week

About the role

n

Working alongside highly regarded surgeons and an experienced perioperative team, you'll primarily work within the scrub/scout role while also having the opportunity to contribute across the patient journey in this specialist day hospital.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

About you

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Previous Scrub Scout experience in a hospital or day surgery
n
- Ophthalmology theatre experience is highly desirable but not required
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
