Job Description

Conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products and finished products

n

Monitor production activities in accordance with company SOPs, HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements

n

Inspect hygiene, cleaning, labelling, batch coding and packaging during production

n

Carry out product sampling, retention sample management and basic quality testing

n

Complete and maintain QC inspection records, production records and quality documentation

n

Identify, label, isolate and report non-conforming materials or products

n

Assist with investigations relating to deviations, non-conformances and customer complaints

n

Monitor employee compliance with hygiene, GMP and operational requirements

n

Assist with internal audits, external audits and ongoing maintenance of the quality management system

n

Perform other quality-related duties as directed by the Quality Manager

n

Requirements

n

n
- Qualification in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Management or a related field is preferred
n
- Previous QC experience in food, dairy, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is preferred
n
- Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality control principles
n
- Solid attention to detail and a responsible approach to work
n
- Good documentation, organisation and time-management skills
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and general office software
n
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
n
- Ability to work in a factory and production environment
n
- Valid Australian working rights
n
