Calling all Maintenance Plumbers who know their way around a drain

AC Plumbing Qld is a family-owned business (est. 2009) and two-time Master Plumbers Association Queensland award winner — Service Excellence, and Business Person of the Year. We're growing our team and looking for a full-time maintenance plumber based in Brendale, servicing Northern and inner Brisbane.

This isn't a narrow drain-only role. You'll run general maintenance plumbing day to day, with drains and relining as a real strength — clearing, camera work, patch and inversion relining, and milling when the job calls for it. You'll be trusted to quote and price the full range of work you're doing.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- A qualified QLD-licensed Plumber/Drainer
n
- Strong general domestic maintenance plumbing experience — fault-finding across water, waste, and drainage
n
- Solid hands-on experience with drain clearing, camera assessment, and relining (patch and/or inversion)
n
- Confidence quoting and pricing all job types on the tools — comfortable working within a flat rate pricing structure
n
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own day
n
- Robust customer communication — you can explain a problem and a fair-cost solution clearly
n
- A well-presented individual who wants to work in a positive, no-drama environment
n
- Treats every home with the same care and respect as their own, and looks for quality solutions — not just the fastest ones

Desirable Attributes

- Gas fitting licence (Type-A)
n
- Restricted electrical licence
n
- Drain milling experience (Dancutter, Picote, or similar)

- Backflow endorsement
n
- Solar/heat pump endorsement
n
- Confined spaces ticket
n
- Working at heights certificate
n
- Working with Children (Blue Card)
n
- Recent QLD Police check
n
- Excavator experience
n
- A good working relationship with suppliers

What Your Days Will Look Like

- A well-organised schedule on your phone/iPad through Service Titan
n
- Your own company vehicle — you manage stock levels, organisation, and equipment so you can run each job efficiently
n
- Access to our relining trailers (patch and inversion) and milling equipment when drain work calls for it
n
- Assessing each job on the tools — diagnosing the issue, explaining the options to the customer, and quoting it properly using flat rate pricing
n
- Working alongside other team members when a job needs an extra set of hands
n
- Training and mentoring apprentices
n
- Being treated as an equal across the team, from apprentice through to Operations Manager

What We Do

- General maintenance plumbing — mostly domestic, some commercial
n
- Blocked drains — clearing and assessment with jetters, cameras, and locators
n
- Relining — patching, junctions, and inversions
n
- Drain milling — Dancutter robot, Picote Midi-Miller, and hand equipment
n
- Hot water unit installation, repair, and maintenance
n




- Drain dig-up repairs — we have our own mini excavator and use Vac excavation when it's appropriate
n
- Leak detection — audio detectors, gas detectors, infra-red, moisture meters, line transmitters, service locators
