Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor will see you in the Australian operation working at the Callide Mine, near Biloela in Queensland.

About the role

n

While reporting to the Superintendent:

n

n
- Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through effective hazard identification and risk management.
n
- Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities to members of the team driving a positive workplace culture.
n
- Ensure work order feedback and closeouts are completed accurately to improve maintenance efficiencies.
n
- Provide leadership to the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan.
n
- Assist the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents in implementing safety plans.
n
- Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.
n

To be successful you will have:

n

n
- Certificate Standard 11
n
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
n
- Current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to complete along with a Pre
n
- Employment Medical including drug and alcohol test
n
- First Aid Certificate
n
- Demonstrate positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour
n
- Effective people management and development experience and skills
n
- Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor
n
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
n
- Work Planning and scheduling skills
n
- G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1,S2,S3) and G2 tickets
n
- Australian trade qualified with extensive experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment.
n
- Previous experience in supervisory roles (leading hand experience considered but direct supervisory experience preferred)
n
- Forklift ticket, Confined space and working at heights (within 5 years)
n
- Minimum 5 years mining experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment
n
- Preferably experience with Komatsu 5500, Excavator Liebherr 996B and 930E Trucks
