Rollingstock Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) Company Overview: Our valued key turn transport services national client who operates throughout Australia & who is responsible for the supply, operation, and maintenance of the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 network. They are seeking skilled Mechanical Techniciansto support our light rail vehicle (LRV) maintenance team during a period of increased workload.

Role Tasks & Duties:
n The role includes, but is not limited to:

n

n
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Light Rail Vehicles.
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in rollingstock systems
n
- Support vehicle handovers and incident recovery procedures
n
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards
n
- Assist in on-the-job training and knowledge sharing
n
- Participate in rotating on-call rosters and shift work
n
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
n
- Collaborate with operations and asset management teams to meet KPIs
n

n

Required Skills, Experience and Competencies:

n

n




- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineeringor similar mechanical trade qualification
n
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
n
- Minimum 3 years of rollingstock experience (required for Level 5 pay rate)
n
- Solid understanding of rail vehicle mechanical systems (Urbos 100 or equivalent preferred)
n
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
n
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Office suite
n
- Emergency response experience highly regarded
n
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and on-call as required
n
