Role Overview

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role within this major digital transformation.

n

Working closely with a dedicated team of Front-End Engineers, you will build and enhance the platform services, APIs and cloud-native capabilities that power customer-facing digital experiences.

n

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with a software development background who enjoys designing scalable backend services while partnering closely with front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Design, develop and maintain AWS-based platform services
n
- Build and enhance APIs using GraphQL and API Gateway
n
- Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions
n
- Write clean, scalable TypeScript code across cloud-native environments
n
- Utilise Python for automation, scripting and engineering efficiencies
n
- Collaborate daily with Front-End Engineers to deliver integrated solutions
n
- Support the delivery of customer-facing digital products and user interfaces
n
- Contribute to platform architecture, performance and scalability initiatives
n

Skills & Experience

n
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer workingwithin modern software engineering environments
n




- Strong hands-on AWS experience
n
- Commercial experience developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda
n
- Strong TypeScript development skills
n
- Python scripting and automation experience
n
- Experience building APIs using GraphQL and API Gateway
n
- Solid understanding of API design, integration patterns and microservices
n
- Salesforce platform exposure highly regarded (though not mandatory)
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
n
- Experience working within digital transformation programs
n
