Unique opportunity for a Student/Graduate Urban Planner to gain hands-on experience in a leading private development business delivering landmark projects.
n
Our client is a prominent property development group with a track record of delivering projects worth over $billion+ across industrial, commercial, residential, and tourism sectors. Their future pipeline includes apartment precincts, a golf course-based community, and large-scale mixed-use developments with retail, health, and community infrastructure — all in strategic growth areas near major transport hubs.

They collaborate with Australia's top architectural, planning, design, and specialist firms to create highly sought-after projects.
n
They are seeking a Student or Graduate Urban Planner to join their Sydney-based team, working closely with experienced urban planners and development professionals.
n
You will assist in preparing State, Regional, and Local Development Applications, Planning Proposals, and other ancillary applications.
Projects include Concept Plans for master-planned communities and detailed Development Applications for construction and operation.
n
Initially, your focus will be researching planning parameters for a portfolio of diverse properties across Australia owned by one of our client's development partners, aiming to identify potential development opportunities and understand planning systems in various states, territories, and overseas.
n
The Position – The role is full-time and temporary for 12 months, with possible part-time arrangements for suitable candidates. You will work out of our client's CBD offices.
n
Remuneration – A weekly rate of $1,300 plus 11.5% Superannuation, based on a 35-hour week, with 4 weeks of annual leave.

Skills, experience, and qualifications
n

- Progressing toward completion of a planning or urban development-related degree
n
- Some relevant planning work experience (preferred but not required)
n
- Solid research and analytical skills
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Ability to work well in a team environment
n
n
