Our client B & P GROUP PTY LTD t/a Accent Aluminium Windows & Doors is looking for a skilled Glaziar to join their team.

n

Roles and Responsibilities:

n

n
- Determining the type, size and thickness of glass required for residential and commercial glazing projects.
n
- Measuring, marking and cutting glass accurately in accordance with specifications and technical drawings.
n
- Inspecting glass sheets and aluminium framing components for defects or damage before fabrication and installation.
n
- Positioning glass safely on padded tables or in jigs to facilitate accurate cutting and handling.
n
- Cutting, shaping and finishing glass using specialised glazing tools and equipment.
n
- Separating cut glass sections and removing excess material using appropriate hand tools and glass pliers.
n
- Smoothing, polishing and finishing glass edges using belt sanders, polishing wheels and other finishing equipment.
n
- Installing glass into aluminium windows, doors, shopfronts, partitions, balustrades, shower screens and other glazing systems.
n
- Applying glazing compounds,



rubber gaskets, sealants and glazing beads to ensure secure, weatherproof and high-quality installations.
n
- Removing and replacing damaged or broken glass while preserving the integrity of surrounding frames and structures.
n
- Inspecting completed glazing work to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, workplace safety requirements and company quality standards.
n
- Maintaining glazing tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, protected and efficient condition.
n

Eligibility Criteria:

n

n
- A relevant AQF Certificate III in Certificate III in Glass and Glazing.
n
- In the absence of formal qualifications, a minimum of three (3) years of full-time, relevant work experience as a Glazier, demonstrating trade-level competency consistent with ANZSCO skill level requirements.
n
- Proven 1 year of experience in performing structural and general Glazing work and executing work independently.
n
- Proficiency in using a range of hand tools and power tools relevant to Glazier.
n
- Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of autonomy and trade judgment, including:
