Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner who can take ownership of planning and trading across multiple categories within a fast-paced multi-store retail environment.

About the role:
n
This role will suit someone with solid planning experience who enjoys working closely with Buying teams to drive commercial outcomes through data-driven planning, forecasting and stock management.
n
You'll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is available at the right time across our store network, while identifying opportunities to improve stock flow, trading performance and planning processes.
n
This role sits at the centre of the commercial team and works closely with Buying, Product, Supply Chain, Marketing and Retail Operations.
n
Please note the role will be required onsite in Geelong full time.
n
This role is available on either a part-time or full-time basis and will be offered as a six-month contract.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Own merchandise planning and in-season trading across assigned product categories
n
- Build and manage sales forecasts, inventory plans and stock flow strategies
n
- Analyse sales trends, inventory performance and demand signals to drive planning decisions
n
- Partner closely with Buying teams to build commercially balanced assortments
n
- Identify trading risks and opportunities early and implement actions to maximise sales and margin
n
- Manage stock levels across the store network to ensure strong availability and sell-through
n
- Support promotional and campaign planning through data-led insights
n
- Deliver clear reporting and performance insights to stakeholders across the business
n
- Conduct post-season reviews to drive continuous improvement in planning decisions
n
- Contribute to improving planning processes, tools and reporting frameworks as the business scales
n
n
About You:
n
Able to commence immediately
n
3+ years' experience in merchandise planning, demand planning or retail inventory planning
n
Strong experience planning within a multi-store retail environment
n
Highly analytical with advanced Excel capability
n
Proven experience managing categories or large product ranges
n
Strong commercial judgement and ability to translate data into transparent actions
n
Comfortable collaborating with Buying teams and cross-functional stakeholders
n
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
n
A proactive mindset with a focus on improving systems, processes and outcomes
n
