Job Description

As a not-for-profit Catholic organisation, Mercy Connect delivers a range of NDIS-registered programs focusing on building skills, independence, and capability for people with disability, empowering them to lead meaningful lives.

The Role: Assistant Team Leader (ATL)
n
The Assistant Team Leader (ATL) plays a key role in supporting Team Leaders and Operational Managers to deliver high quality, person-centred services that prioritise the health, safety and wellbeing of participants.
n
As a key link between frontline staff and management, you will:
n
n
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with participants and their families
n
- Promote a culture of excellent customer service
n
- Support the implementation of person-centred practices across the team
n
n
You will also have allocated administrative time to complete documentation, reporting and other coordination tasks required to support quality service delivery.
n
In addition, you will participate in the "On Duty" roster, providing out-of-hours support and responding to urgent matters when required.
n
About You:
n
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
n
n
- Proven ability to apply person centred active support.
n
- Experience managing participant documentation with accuracy and compliance
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Ability to support teams in implementing and reviewing participant support plans
n
- Strong coaching and mentoring capability aligned with organisational values
n
- Well-developed organisational skills with solid attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
n
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach
n
- High level computer literacy and confidence using technology
n
n
Desired Skills and Experience:
n
n
- Certificate IV in Disability or (related discipline), or willingness to obtain.
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
- NSW Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
n
- Current, valid driver's licence and a willingness to drive Mercy Connect vehicles
n
- Availability to work across a 24-7 rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and sleepovers (as required)
n
- Participation in a rotating on-call roster, including work outside standard hours
n
- Current First Aid Certificate
n
n
