Location: Queensland 1.5 hours from Brisbane

About the Property

n

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Farm Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a progressive beef cattle enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who is passionate about livestock production and sustainable land management.

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the property to achieve productivity, animal welfare and financial objectives while maintaining a safe and positive workplace.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Manage all daily cattle operations, including mustering, drafting, processing and transport.

n

Plan and implement herd health, nutrition and breeding programs.

n

Monitor livestock performance and maintain accurate production records.

n

Supervise and mentor station staff, contractors and seasonal employees.

n

Coordinate property maintenance, including fencing, water infrastructure, yards and equipment.

n

Develop and manage grazing plans to optimise pasture utilisation and land condition.

n

Operate and maintain farm machinery and vehicles.

n

Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, biosecurity,



animal welfare and environmental regulations.

n

Skills and Experience

n

The ideal candidate will possess:

n

Demonstrated experience managing a commercial beef enterprise.

n

Strong livestock handling skills with a sound understanding of low-stress stock handling techniques.

n

Experience with breeding, herd health and pasture management.

n

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

n

Mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining farm equipment.

n

Current driver's licence.

n

Chemical accreditation, firearm licence, heavy vehicle licence and machinery tickets are advantageous.
