See the Bigger Picture-From Raw Land to Community
n
At our client, you help create communities.
n
From the earliest stages of land acquisition through to final delivery, every decision shapes the outcome-how the land is formed, how services are integrated, and how efficiently projects are delivered.
n
As a Site Engineer, you'll sit on the developer side of the equation-working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure subdivision projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected standard.
n
This is a role for someone who wants to step beyond pure construction-and understand the full development lifecycle.
n
Why This Role Matters
n
On the developer side, success is about more than just building.
n
It's about:
n
n
- Managing cost, program, and risk across the full project
n
- Ensuring delivery aligns with broader commercial objectives
n
n
You'll play a key role in making sure projects run efficiently-and deliver the outcomes the business is targeting.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
You'll act as the link between design, construction, and commercial outcomes.
n
You'll:
n
n
- Oversee civil contractors delivering subdivision works
n
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance
n
- Review drawings, methodologies, and staging strategies
n
- Coordinate with consultants (civil, services, geotech, survey)
n
- Assist in managing budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
n
- Identify risks early- particularly around services, ground conditions, and staging
n
- Support contract administration, variations, and claims assessment
n
- Contribute to project programming and delivery strategy
n
n
You're not just delivering the job-you're protecting the project outcome.
n
What Makes This Role Different
n
At Landy Developments, you're not tied to one contractor or one perspective.
n
You'll:
n
n
- See multiple projects across different stages
n
- Gain exposure to commercial and development decision-making
n
- Work closely with senior leadership on project strategy
n
- Develop a broader skillset beyond pure engineering
n
n
This is an ideal pathway into Development Management or Project Management roles.
n
About You
n
You're someone who wants to understand the why behind how projects are delivered.
n
n
- Have experience in subdivision or civil construction (contractor or consultancy side)
n
- Hold a Civil Engineering degree or similar
n
- Understand construction methodologies and sequencing
n
- Are commercially aware and interested in project outcomes—not just tasks
n
- Communicate well across contractors, consultants, and internal teams
n
- Want to broaden your career beyond site delivery
n
n
Typical Projects
n
n
- Master planned communities
n
- Land development from acquisition through to delivery
n
n
Why Our Client
n
They offer a different perspective on civil engineering-one focused on end-to-end development.
n
What that means for you:
n
n
- Exposure to the full lifecycle of projects
n
- Broader commercial and strategic involvement
n
- Opportunity to transition into development-focused roles
n
- A more holistic view of how projects are created and delivered
n
n
What Success Looks Like
n
n
- Contractors delivering efficiently and to standard
n
- Risks identified and managed early
n
- Projects tracking to program and budget
n
- Solid coordination across all stakeholders
n
n
If This Sounds Like You
n
This is an opportunity to:
n
n
- Step beyond traditional site engineering
n
- Build a broader, more commercial skillset
n
- And play a role in shaping entire communities-not just constructing them
