About the Role

n

We're looking for someone confident and competent in all aspects of industrial abrasive blasting and spray painting, with a robust focus on quality and efficiency. You'll be working on a variety of steel structures, components, and equipment in both our in-house workshop and on-site as required.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform abrasive blasting on steel, concrete, and other surfaces in line with project specifications and Australian Standards
n
- Perform industrial spray painting using airless, conventional, and HVLP spray systems
n
- Mix and apply different coating systems as per specifications (including epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers,



Intumescent etc.)
n
- Operate blasting equipment, compressors, reclaim units, and associated machinery safely and efficiently
n
- Prepare surfaces through masking, plugging, cleaning, and staging prior to blasting
n
- Maintain blasting booth cleanliness and ensure media is managed correctly
n
- Complete daily job sheets and QA checklists accurately
n
- Maintain equipment and follow strict safety procedures
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Proven experience as an industrial painter and abrasive blaster (min. 2 years preferred)
n
- Ability to read and follow paint specifications and job instructions
n
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use (especially around hazardous coatings)
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes
n
- Forklift or EWP licence (advantageous)
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
