The GM - Communications will lead the strategic direction and execution of the firm's external and internal communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement to protect and enhance the company's reputation.

As a trusted advisor to the leadership team, this role provides counsel on media strategy, crisis management and stakeholder relations, while cultivating strategic relationships with government entities and industry bodies.

The role works closely with Investor Relations (listed and unlisted), Heads of Departments and CEOs to ensure consistent messaging across all communications, including market announcements and disclosure obligations.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Develop and lead the company-wide strategic communications strategy aligned with the company's business priorities
n
- Provide strategic counsel to the Executive Leadership Team on media positioning, reputation management and the handling of sensitive issues
n
- Manage media engagement across all channels, including national and international media, and build and maintain robust relationships with senior journalists, editors and media influencers
n
- Partner with the Investor Relations team to coordinate communications for ASX announcements,
results reporting materials and continuous disclosure requirements.

- Lead crisis communication planning and response, including stakeholder engagement planning, development of holding statements and executive briefings
n
- Generate the development and delivery of high-impact thought leadership across media and events channels
n
- Produce the design and execution of integrated public relations campaigns to build brand reputation and promote key initiatives
n
- Oversee engagement with industry bodies, associations and key partners
n
- Manage social media announcements and responses
n
- Execute video recordings and productions based on company and department announcement as well as internal training projects and announcements
n
- Implement other communications activities including speech writing, award submissions, copywriting and media-related event management
n
- Oversee internal communication initiatives including internal articles, newsletters, C-suite announcements and learning events.

Experience
n
n
- Tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, business or similar.
n
- Minimum 15 years' experience in senior corporate affairs and communications roles, preferably within listed complex corporate environments.
