You will be part of a close-knit team based in Armidale, NSW, supporting the delivery of the Company's own commercial, hospitality and residential construction projects through Knox & Co.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Review architectural, engineering and construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation to quantify required materials
n
- Source, evaluate and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
n
- Manage the purchasing of materials and subcontractor packages.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
n
- Work closely with Operations Manager and Project Managers to ensure procurement aligns with construction programmes.
n
- Prepare project budgets, cost plans and procurement schedules.
n
- Continuously improve estimating and procurement processes and systems.
n
- Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on estimating, procurement and project cost performance.

About You
n
n
- Proven experience in estimating, procurement or commercial management within the construction industry.
n
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials and pricing.
n
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build lasting supplier and subcontractor relationships.
n
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement activities simultaneously.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
n

What you need to apply
n
n
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
n
- Construction Industry Safety Certificate (White Card).
n
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
n
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and procurement.
n
- Experience with Buildpass, AutoCad, Microsoft Projects
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction methods and procurement practices.
n
- Existing supplier and subcontractor network within New England Region.
n
