We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to supervise our warehouse team.

The Prospect

n

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is organised, safety-focused and confident coordinating people, workflow and operational priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.

n

Your primary focus will be overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. You'll manage a small team of warehouse store personnel, forklift operators and dispatch clerks to coordinate the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods ensuring safety, accuracy and productivity targets are met. A personal vehicle is required for commuting to the office, with on-site parking provided.

Based in Dandenong South you will report to the Logistics Manager.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Supervision: Lead, coach, and mentor the team to achieve daily operational goals.

n

Scheduling: Manage staff rosters, including leave, ensuring adequate coverage is maintained.

n

Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues in conjunction with Logistics Manager.

n

Training: Oversee induction and training of new hires.

n

Operational Oversight

n

Workflow Coordination:



Prioritize daily tasks, ensuring inbound deliveries are processed and outbound orders are dispatched on time.

n

Inventory Control: Lead the cycle counting program and investigate inventory discrepancies in BC/Supply Point.

n

Facility Management: Keep the warehouse organised and equipment well maintained.

n

Reporting: Prepare reports on equipment, maintenance, waste, safety and packaging materials.

Safety & Compliance

n

WHS Leadership: Act as the primary safety officer on the floor.

n

Incident Management: Investigate incidents and near misses, then implement corrective actions.

n

Auditing: Conduct regular safety audits.

n

About You

n

To be successful, you'll bring:

n

Minimum 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, with 1-2 years in a leadership capacity.

n

Driver's licence (essential).

n

Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., BC/Supply Point) and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook).

n

Ability to motivate a diverse team and maintain a positive workplace culture.

n

Strong analytical skills to resolve logistical bottlenecks and inventory errors.

n

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

n

Physically fit, capable and comfortable with manual handling.
