About the Role

n

Working directly with the Director,



you'll play an important role in the development of our fashion accessory collections.

n

You'll be involved in every stage of the product development process—from creating product specifications and reviewing samples to communicating with overseas factories, managing production timelines and helping launch recent collections.

n

This role is ideal for someone with experience in Fashion Design, Fashion Product Development or Apparel Product Development who is looking to build a long-term career in the fashion accessories industry.

n

A portfolio showcasing Fashion Design, Product Development, Tech Packs or technical drawings will be highly regarded.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist in the development of handbags, jewellery, scarves, belts, sunglasses and fashion accessories
n
- Prepare and update Tech Packs, product specifications and production documents
n
- Communicate daily with manufacturing partners in China via WeChat and email
n
- Coordinate product sampling and manage sample approvals
n
- Prepare sample comments and follow up revisions with factories
n
- Source fabrics, trims, hardware and packaging materials
n
- Prepare purchase orders and production documentation
n
- Monitor production schedules and delivery timelines
n
- Conduct quality checks on samples before bulk production
n
- Liaise with freight forwarders and suppliers when required
n
- Maintain accurate product information, costing and production records
n
- Work closely with the Sales, Warehouse and Marketing teams to launch new collections
n

You enjoy working in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple projects at once, and are eager to continue learning and growing within the fashion industry.

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Previous experience in Fashion Product Development, Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development or Fashion Production
n
- A Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Fashion Product Development, Fashion Merchandising or a related fashion discipline
n
- Experience preparing or updating Tech Packs or product specifications
n
- Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers (China preferred)
n
- Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written), as this role involves daily communication with factories in China
n
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n

Highly Desirable

n

n
- Experience in fashion accessories (handbags, jewellery, belts, scarves or sunglasses)
n
- Adobe Photoshop
n
- Experience sourcing fabrics, trims, hardware and packaging
n
- Understanding of quality assurance and production processes
n
- Experience using ERP systems (Cin7, Apparel21, NetSuite or similar)
n
- Experience working with Australian fashion brands
n
