We'relooking for a seasoned communications professional to drive strategic media content and communications that support the delivery of high-impact projects.
n
As the Senior Public Affairs Advisor, you will lead the design and coordination of media strategies and public affairs initiatives that promote the Authority's work.
n
You'llmanage content across multiple channels, oversee eventlogisticsand budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistent,accuratemessaging. Your work will directly support government priorities and enhance public understanding of key programs.
n
About You
n
You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who brings:
n
Proven experience in delivering project communications across multiple channels for internal and external audiences
n
Solid skills in designing and implementing media strategies aligned with organisational priorities
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines and stakeholder needs with confidence and agility
n
Excellent writing skills, including media releases, speech points, and briefing materials
n
Experience coordinating events and managing budgets, particularly for press conferences and public engagements
n
A collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external stakeholders
n
Strong analytical skills to evaluate media tactics and improve future communications
n
Up-to-date knowledge of government programs, policies, and announcements
n
High levelsof organisation with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or journalism or relevant/demonstratedequivalent experience.
n
Robust understanding of the public service and its role in working with other agencies and Ministerial offices.
n
Ability to travel to outer suburban and regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours in an on-call capacity.
