About the Role

n

Derwent Industries is seeking a reliable, motivated and safety-focused Warehouse Assistant / Delivery Driver to join our team in Eastern Creek. This hands-on role involves supporting day-to-day warehouse operations and completing customer deliveries safely, efficiently and professionally. The successful applicant must hold a valid MR licence and be confident operating a truck-mounted crane.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

n

n
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming stock and deliveries.
n
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
n
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts where required.
n
- Label, store and handle products correctly.
n
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
n

Delivery Driver Duties

n

n
- Drive an MR truck safely and confidently, including in busy traffic and customer delivery areas.
n
- Deliver goods to customers and clients safely, efficiently and on time.
n
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, including safe operation of a truck-mounted crane where required.
n




- Obtain proof of delivery and maintain accurate delivery records.
n
- Complete basic vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
n
- Provide skilled and courteous customer service during deliveries.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Previous warehouse and/or delivery driving experience is preferred.
n
- Current MR driver's licence is essential.
n
- Ability to operate a truck-mounted crane safely and competently is essential.
n
- Forklift licence is highly regarded.
n
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
n
- Strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
n
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy items.
n
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
n

Requirements

- Must hold a valid MR driver's licence.
n
- Must be able to safely operate a crane mounted on the truck.
n
- Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling tasks.
n
- Sound knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
n
- Basic computer skills are an advantage.
n
