Job Description
Occupational Therapist - Senior (Stroke and Neurology)

We're excited to welcome a Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) in stroke and neurology to work as part of a high functioning unit within the medical specialties OT team.
n

The inpatient unit 4A Stroke, Neurology aims to provide excellent care to patients from admission to discharge. Management is provided through evidence-based care, to optimise recovery and minimise the reoccurrence of strokes, delirium, and neurological disorders in patients. The services use a multidisciplinary model of care through acute and subacute phases of a patient's journey. The OT team provide specialist, early assessment, and rehabilitation to the patients on the stroke and neurology unit.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Deliver independent high level Occupational Therapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.

- Provide high level clinical advice,
education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.

- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapy practitioners and students as delegated.

Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary part time position available for up to 12 months, 38 hrs p.f.).
