With continued growth in business and increasing demand for high-quality automotive refinishing services, CD9 AUTO PAINT is seeking an experienced Vehicle Painter to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality surface preparation, spray painting and finishing works in accordance with industry standards, manufacturer specifications and workplace safety requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking and priming prior to painting

n

n
- Mixing and matching paints to achieve accurate colour finishes in line with manufacturer specifications
n
- Applying primer, base coats and clear coats using spray painting equipment
n
- Repairing minor panel imperfections and ensuring smooth surface finishes
n
- Removing and refitting vehicle components where required to facilitate painting
n
- Conducting quality checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship and finish
n
- Maintaining spray booths, tools and equipment in a clean and safe condition
n
- Following workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and environmental regulations
n
- Coordinating with panel beaters and other workshop staff to ensure timely job completion
n

Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience as a Vehicle Painter

n

n
- Experience in spray painting, colour matching and automotive refinishing processes
n
- Familiarity with modern spray equipment and painting techniques
n
- Relevant trade qualification is desirable but not required (Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent, three years' relevant work experience may substitute)
n

Duties:

- Eliminating rough patches on vehicle surfaces
n
- Smoothing surfaces manually and with electric sanders
n
- Covering areas that shouldn't be painted with tape and paper
n
- Matching colors and blending paints to achieve desired shades, or selecting pre-mixed colors
n
- Applying base coats and final layers with spray guns, and smoothing surfaces between applications
n
- Repairing paintwork and polishing vehicles
n
- Removing masking tape
n

Job Type: Full time Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year Work Authorisation: Australia (Preferred) Work Location: In person
