About the Role
n
This is a unique opportunity to step into a Head Veterinary Nurse role with exposure to Practice Management, perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career or an experienced leader looking for a new challenge.
n
You'll remain clinically hands-on, while also gaining valuable experience across leadership, operations, and people management - all supported by an experienced Practice Manager who will mentor and guide you.
n
What you'll be doing:
n
n
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursing team day-to-day
n
- Coordinating workflow to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations
n
- Supporting vets across anaesthesia, surgery, and patient care
n
- Maintaining high clinical standards, protocols, and patient outcomes
n
- Managing rostering and contributing to team performance and engagement
n
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and equipment management
n
- Supporting client experience, including handling feedback and complaints
n
- Promoting a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
n
- Confident across all aspects of veterinary nursing, including anaesthesia and surgery
n
- An interest in leadership, with either proven experience or readiness to step up
n
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
n
- A genuine passion for patient care and delivering excellent client experiences
n
- A team-first attitude with the ability to lead by example
n
