Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Controller, you will support the delivery of financial reporting, month-end accounting, statutory compliance and finance improvement initiatives.

This role will provide exposure across general ledger accounting, budgeting, audit, tax compliance and system improvements, including involvement in a new system implementation.

Your responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and external audit requirements;
n
- Complete month-end processes including journals and balance sheet reconciliations;
n
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities;
n
- Assist with tax compliance requirements including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax;
n
- Prepare audit work papers and support financial reviews;
n
- Assist with new system implementation activities including testing and data migration;
n
- Identify and support improvements to finance processes and procedures; and
n
- Assist with general accounting tasks as required.

What we're looking for

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting,



Business or a related discipline;
n
- CA / CPA qualified or currently working towards qualification;
n
- 2+ years' hands-on experience in an Assistant Accountant position;
n
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting;
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy;
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
n
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work well within a team; and
n
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
n
