Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Trades Assistant to join our busy workshop team. This is a hands-on role working closely with supervisors, engineers, and qualified tradespeople to deliver safe, high-quality work within required timeframes.

In this role you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and representing the business professionally when working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

About the role

n

- Reading and interpreting production and fabrication drawings
n
- Assisting with the prefabrication and assembly of structures both in the workshop and out on site
n
- Supporting tradespeople with daily tasks and tool handling
n
- Working to strict deadlines and within allocated budgets
n
- Travelling to various project sites as required
n
- Carrying out repairs, replacements, and general maintenance of existing structures
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
n
- Representing the company in a professional manner when engaging with third parties and internal teams
n

- A robust work ethic and willingness to learn

- The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
n
- Basic understanding of construction or fabrication processes (desirable)
n
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings (or willingness to learn)
n
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
n
- Flexibility to travel for work when required
n
