Task & responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out the installation, servicing and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including aerial cabling, underground cable networks and conduit systems.
n
- Inspect telecommunications equipment and promptly repair or replace damaged components to ensure reliable network performance.
n
- Conduct diagnostic testing to identify technical faults, determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
n
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to maximise the efficiency and longevity of telecommunications assets.
n
- Safely undertake work on elevated telecommunications structures, including poles, towers and masts, while adhering to all workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Operate specialised tools,



equipment and testing instruments in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
n
- Accurately complete service reports and job documentation while maintaining compliance with relevant Australian standards and project specifications.

Qualification & experience

n

n
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
n
- Proven minimum one year of relevant industry experience.
n
- Demonstrated experience installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications infrastructure.
n
- Strong ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
n
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
n
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights when required.
