Purpose / Main area of Responsibilities

n

The main focus of the Group Dealership Accountant is to manage the finance department in the delivery of financial and management accounting, project costing and inventory requiring well-developed abilities in people leadership and development. This role is ultimately responsible for the integrity and efficiency of the financial systems of the Dealership.

Key job functions & Accountabilities

n





The Group Dealership Accountant carries out a range of duties related to managing the finance department, including:

n

Liaising with all areas of the business, working closely with management to provide information and analysis that will facilitate decision making

n

Balance sheet reconciliations

n

Support & train administration staff

n

Strategic input into financial and business needs of the dealership

n

Overseeing the preparation and development of finance and management reports including cash flow projections, the annual budget and quarterly forecasting

n

Manufacturer's reporting

n

Audit preparation & statutory reporting

n

Profitability analysis

n

Managing the general Ledger

n

Managing of tax and treasury functions

n

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

n

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

n

Strong excel and financial modelling skills

n

Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

n

Experience in statutory reporting and cash flow management

n

Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience

n

Experience in the retail motor industry

n

Options to work in either Bennetts Green or Cessnock
