Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Workshop Assistant to join our maintenance team on a large-scale almond orchard in Hattah, Victoria.

You will assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of agricultural machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their mechanical skills in almond operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with daily workshop operations.
n
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and almond equipment.
n
- Assist with fabrication and basic welding tasks.
n
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and protected.
n
- Help identify mechanical issues and support repairs.
n
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop inventory.
n
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
n
- Basic welding experience (MIG/Stick preferred).




n
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
n
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
n
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently when required.
n
- A current driver's licence is preferred.
n
- Experience with farm machinery is advantageous but not essential.
n
