- Knoxfield depot (Eastern Suburbs) with work across metropolitan Melbourne

- 8-10 hour days, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend work available

Civil Worker (Underground Infrastructure)

n

Metro Utility Worx is a professional civil contracting business based in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs, delivering services to utility providers across metropolitan Melbourne.

n

We are seeking motivated Civil Workers to join our team based out of our Knoxfield depot. You'll work within a tight-knit crew across multiple sites, carrying out a range of civil tasks focused on the installation of underground infrastructure.

n

Pay is negotiable and will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

n

Ongoing support and development opportunities are available for proven performers.

Eligibility

n

n
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
n
- Willingness to complete a Drug and Alcohol test
n
- Able to commit to ongoing work and an immediate start (where available)
n

n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out civil works associated with the installation of underground infrastructure
n
- General labouring, excavation support, and site set-up/pack-down
n
- Identify hazards, apply controls,



and participate in toolbox talks and pre-starts
n
- Work safely around underground services and in suburban street environments
n
- Operate plant and equipment as licensed (training provided for suitable applicants)
n
- Follow instructions, work effectively within a crew, and maintain site safety standards
n

- Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a physically role

Essential requirements

n

n
- Construction Induction (White Card)
n
- Current driver licence and full car licence
n
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or labouring work
n
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions
n
- Able to work safely as part of a crew and follow instructions
n

n

Desirable licences and tickets (advantageous but not essential)

n

n
- MR/HR licence
n
- First Aid
n
- Traffic Control ticket
n
- VESI Skills Passport
n
- Experience in the power industry
n
- VEDN accreditation
n

n
