Optical Dispenser - Eyecare Plus Penrith

Full-time / Part time | Penrith, NSW

Eyecare Plus Penrith is an independent, locally owned practice known for personalised eye care and a genuine relationship with our community. We're looking for an Optical Dispenser to join our team.

The role

n

n
- Interpret prescriptions and dispense spectacles and contact lenses
n
- Guide patients through frame and lens selection to suit their prescription, lifestyle and budget
n
- Take accurate measurements (PD, heights, vertex distance)
n
- Fit, adjust and repair frames
n
- Fitting lenses, training provided if necessary
n
- Manage orders with suppliers and labs, and follow up on jobs
n
- Handle patient bookings, health fund claims and Medicare processing
n
- Maintain frame displays and assist with stock control
n

About you

n

n
- Qualified Optical Dispenser (Cert IV in Optical Dispensing)



or working towards it - experienced candidates without formal qualifications are welcome to apply
n
- Strong communication skills and a real interest in helping people
n
- Attention to detail and comfort with optical measurements and equipment
n
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a small team
n
- Experience with practice management software (e.g. Optomate, Sunix) an advantage
n
