Team Global Express is seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our Emerald team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating freight operations, supervising drivers, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight while delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

n

This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity working:

n

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM

n

Friday: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the afternoon and night operations, ensuring freight is dispatched safely, customer commitments are achieved, and drivers and fleet are utilised efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Coordinate daily transport operations to maximise the efficient use of drivers, vehicles and equipment.
n
- Plan and allocate freight loads to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
n
- Organise fleet resources to meet customer requirements and operational demands.
n
- Ensure all vehicles comply with customer, operational and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
n
- Supervise, coach and support drivers while promoting a strong safety culture.
n
- Monitor driver compliance with relevant State and Federal transport legislation.
n
- Prepare manifests, loading documentation and compliance paperwork.
n
- Investigate operational incidents and complete incident reporting as required.
n
- Prepare and analyse contractor run sheets and delivery performance.
n
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
n
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
n




- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Produce operational reports and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
n

What You'll Bring

- Previous experience in a transport, logistics or operations supervisory role.
n
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop operational teams.
n
- Excellent planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
n
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Knowledge of transport operations, fleet scheduling and freight movements.
n
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and relevant transport legislation is highly regarded.
n
- Strong geographical knowledge to effectively allocate work and optimise fleet utilisation.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
n
- A transport or logistics background is highly desirable but not essential.
n
