Longwarry Twinklekids Early Learning Centre is looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate Part-Time Assistant Director to join our leadership team.

n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator, Room Leader, Educational Leader or emerging leader who is ready to take the next step in their career.

n

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can also take on the role of Educational Leader, providing leadership and guidance to our educators while supporting the Centre Director with the day-to‐day operation of the service.

n

About the Role

n

Working closely with the Centre Director and our wider management team, you will help ensure the centre operates smoothly and continues to provide high-quality education and care for our children and families.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Supporting the Centre Director with the day-to‐day operation of the service
n
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to educators
n
- Assisting with staff supervision, mentoring and performance
n
- Supporting compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and relevant regulations
n
- Promoting and maintaining a solid child-safe culture across the service
n
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of centre policies and procedures
n
- Building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the local community
n
- Assisting with rostering, staffing and general centre administration where required
n
- Supporting the centre's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement practices
n
- Stepping into the Centre Director role when required
n

n

Educational Leader Responsibilities

n

For the right candidate, the position can also include the Educational Leader role.

n

As Educational Leader, you will:

n

n
- Lead and support educators in delivering high-quality educational programs
n
- Mentor educators in curriculum planning, documentation and reflective practice
n
- Support implementation of Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF)



and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
n
- Promote meaningful critical reflection across the service
n
- Work collaboratively with educators to strengthen teaching practices and learning outcomes
n
- Support the centre's ongoing Quality Improvement Plan and Assessment & Rating preparation
n
- Encourage a culture of continuous professional learning and improvement
n

n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised and confident in supporting a team.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA‐approved equivalent
n
- Previous experience in a leadership position within an early childhood service
n
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
n
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF and/or VEYLDF
n
- Strong understanding of Child Safe Standards and child protection responsibilities
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Confidence in mentoring and supporting educators
n
- Strong organisational and time‐management skills
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain them
n

n

Previous experience as an Assistant Director, Educational Leader, 2IC or Room Leader will be highly regarded.
